Bonnet strip easy installation
From the initial phone conversation & pictures sent, the order was delivered very quickly. After washing, clay baring & polishing vehicle before install, this was the easy bit. The panels were cut to size, but the front nose of vehicle & the back side of cabin was certainly challenging. Had to cut slits to make it fit.
The template given for the side indicators on both front doors, was easy enough to transfer & cut with stanley knife. It's only been 5 days since intall so waiting for it to heal & finalise it's curing. Followed all instructions & definitely found it took 2 of us to do this & like I said, lucky I love my wife as she had the patience to do the majority of the fiddly bits. Otherwise, looks good & hopefully will do the job on our 6 mth trip away. Shame there wasn't a piece for the bonnet. Thanks again!
We installed these ourselves.. can be a bit daunting at first until you get the hang of it. End result, makes the car paint work look shiny and new. Would recommend
Great process to the purchase, postage and application. All panels fitted as needed with no modifications, with the exception of the GVM indicators and the standard V-Spec Safari Snorkel. Just make sure you follow the directions provided by Bushwrapz. Take the time to prepare your surface of your vehicle including clay barring. This will reduce the headaches once applied.
For the entire vehicle, I used less than a litre of mixed solution which is 6-7ml of install solution. No need for additional bottles.
All in all, a fantastic product.
Great product
I use the seal and protect frequently and am amazed at how fantastic this product is. The PPF wrap comes up so clean and like brand new after every wash and wipe down. Would highly recommend using this to prolong the life of your wrap 👌🏻
This review is NOT intended to be a criticism of the product, the company nor the service but rather a heads up to those who are looking to do it as a DIY project as opposed to paying extra for a professional job.
I think this is a great concept and I have no issues with the service or level of information that the company provides The reality is though that it is something that takes a bit of skill.
I watched all the videos and the staff do their best to give you the best possible chance at getting it right however it is something you either have a knack for or you need a lot of practice. Sadly, you only get one crack at it and, at over a thousand bucks for a kit it can be costly and disappointing if it doesn't turn out well.
We did a fair job but it's a long way from perfect.
I just finished installing our DIY kit on our Toyota landcruiser single cab. The installation videos were very clear and easy to follow. It took me a few hours to install the kit, including the bonnet strip and cutting templates for the GVM indicators.
I had a couple of questions and spoke to Maeghan who was extremely helpful and successfully answered all my questions.
We purchased the NT cutter pro as well which made cutting and trimming a breeze.
You don't see the film is even there after installation.
We do remote 4 wheel driving and sometimes the tracks have tree growth sticking out onto the tracks. We are looking forward to our next adventure without scratches on our vehicle.
Thanks for a great product.
The clay bar was well worth purchasing. It removed red dirt stains and other tiny spots that I couldn't get off with just detergent. It was very easy to use and I could tell the difference between the slightly tacky surface pre clay bar and the silky smooth surface after. Highly recommend before installing your film.
Happy with the quality of the product and the cut out templates shapes were mostly the correct size, except for the two larger window templates were a little short. Looks really good, even covered up a couple of scratches the window installer made. It would be handy to have a tap on each sheet to help start peeling the backing off.
Application is really simple and paired with the glass cloth it glides over all the panels
Keeps the wrap looking great
Great product, easy to install with a little help maneuvering the larger panels into place. Looks great now completed, you can hardly tell it's there. Will use on caravan windows in the future.
Great value for all those sections of your vehicle you want to cover yourself
Love it
If you are even the slightest bit discerning don't bother with this crap. The panels don't match, they don't even match the opposite panel when laid onto each other.
Super easy to apply!! Purchased extra solution as I’ve read that it’s your friend!! It was true, the solution is definitely your friend and you can never too much. Makes the install effortless and great for beginners like myself. Doesn’t leave any soapy marks after install. Car looks glossier than before :)
I have tried a lot of brands of PPF and I find this one to be the most user friendly one out there. Love it
I bought Bush Wrapz to protect my car since I plan to do more bush bashing. The film arrived very quickly and all the parts were there as expected.
However, which is my fault, the installation was harder than I expected. So my advice is to make sure you spend enough time planning, getting the equipment needed and making sure you have someone on hand the whole time to help you. Also, I highly suggest you start with one panel and not do another one until it has been 30 mins so you can clearly see the result of your work and correct (if any) mistakes.
Great product, ready to remove after 2 years and apply new protection for another 2 years. Saved me a lot of woriries regarding pin stripes.
very happy with the quality of the product and the cut out shapes,, looks really good. It would be handy to have a tap on each sheet to help start peeling the backing off.
Great product, highly recommended. Also get the Essential kit as it is highly recommended as well.
After purchasing a new Raptor, I wanted to get PPF on it straight off the showroom floor. Although somewhat hesitant to start, once I did it was clean sailing. Bushwrapz not only looks the goods and gives great protection it was just so easy to install. My only advice would be to spend an extra $105 and get the Essentials Installation Kit as well. You won't regret it, it just makes everything that much easier when you have the right equipment for the job and the wash and detail spray are an added bonus.
We bought the advanced kit for our 200 series Landcruiser and for the windows and door on our caravan. I give most things a crack at doing, but in this case, we decided to leave it to the professionals. Wrapd Up in Traralgon did a great job on the 200 for a really great price (caravan is still be built). They were very easy to deal with and we highly recommend their service. Bushwrapz were great to deal with too. I contacted them in regard to the snorkel (a safari snorkel was the only option to tick when ordering). They fixed the order by removing the snorkel option to allow my snorkel to be "shaped" into the wrap. Great customer service from both Buswrapz & Wrapd Up.
Beyond impressed with this product on our 100 Series Land Cruiser. It hides scratches to the point you can't see them at all, and it wasn't much of a hassle to get on the car (the missus did it, and I was the assistant in this circumstance).
I think nearly every review I've seen mentions that everyone gets their missus to install it, so I wouldn't buck the trend, and it came out beyond amazing.
She didn't have much hassle with the install, and as long as you take your time (we dedicated a full Saturday to it), you'll be fine.
Also of note: we did it outside on a still day, as the garage isn't big enough to house the Land Cruiser. If you get a slight bit of dirt under the PPF, just peel it back, spray it with the solution, and any debris will just slide off. I was really hesitant/worried that fluff or dirt would stick to it, but thankfully that's not the case.
I had a question about removing a bubble and the heat sealing of the edges, and the Bushwrapz staff replied to my email within the day and were incredibly helpful.
If you're on the fence like I was, just do it. It'll be one of those purchases that you wish you did sooner and tell everyone about.
Found instruction fitting videos very good. Precutout fit was spot on. Film went on well with a couple of small bubbles. Obviously fitting experience would make it a better result. I am happy with the result so far. Time and use will now be needed to see how it stands up to scratches etc.
